Ace Data provides cloud based backup & recovery solution to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals

Telecom Lead India: Ace Data Devices has inked a
deal with Indraprastha Medical Corporation that runs Indraprastha Apollo
Hospitals to provide Backup Vault solution for server host applications and
database backup.

Backup Vault is a cloud based backup & recovery solution
for Indian businesses. Under the deal, the company will also provide
Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals with backup services & solutions for MS SQL,
MS Exchange, Oracle and other critical data.


Initially we started with the SQL database backup
project with the Apollo Hospitals. Based on the experience and the visible
benefits of our solution, the scope of the agreement has already been scaled up
to include MS Exchange 2010 data base spread over multiple information stores,”
said Neeraj Mediratta, chief executive officer, Ace Data Devices.


The new service will eliminate the requirement of manual
intervention while taking the backup of critical data.


With ‘Backup Vault’ in place, we have been able to
secure our data base, which is very critical for a business like ours. Today,
we are sure that all the information regarding our patients is secure and
easily available,” said Srinivasan Raman, Head – IT, Indraprastha Apollo
Hospitals.


Ace Data said that Backup Vault is an apt solution which
complements the profile of IT Department by way of meeting the challenges of
managing agents, backup schedules and multimedia operations.


Backup Vault is expected to provide benefits such as
architecture for backing up desktops, laptops and servers including online
backup of databases, de-duplication of data travelling on cloud, AES 256 bit
encryption compliant with SOX, HIPPA, Basel II and FIS standards.
