Alcatel-Lucent partners with Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom to launch YouConnect

Telecom Lead Europe: Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom,
France’s three largest mobile service providers, have joined forces with
Alcatel-Lucent to launch a Beta service called YouConnect.

The new Beta service will make it easier for consumers to
input information to mobile applications and websites via their mobile phone or
tablet device. The service will enable consumers to upload the information they
regularly supply online services.

By coming together, the four members of YouConnect have
found a solution that addresses the needs of these businesses without the
cumbersome process of having to create individual systems for each service
provider,” said Stephen Carter, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa at
Alcatel-Lucent.

Vente-privee.com, an event-driven online sales company
has become the first enterprise to partner with YouConnect.  For vente-privee.com, YouConnect
provides access to a large new group of potential customers.

The company said that vente-privee.com and other enterprises and organizations
which partner with YouConnect will  benefit from Alcatel-Lucent’s Open API
Platform allowing software developers to only create an application once, with
the confidence it can be used by virtually anyone with a mobile device.

The company added that YouConnect’s other partners could
be the transportation, government, insurance and health care sectors.

Through the use of Alcatel-Lucent’s Open API platform,
YouConnect provides a valuable way for service providers to work with
enterprise partners and application developers to create enticing and valuable
sites for mobile subscribers.
