Airtel introduces Smart Pack paper recharge coupon with QR code

Bharti Airtel has launched paper recharge coupon with a quick response code (QRC) for its customers.

The service is one of its kinds in the world, the company said in a statement and is currently available for Airtel prepaid mobile customers in Andhra Pradesh, India.

The ‘Smart Pack,’ as called by Airtel  , enables customers to recharge their phone within 2 seconds. All they need to do is to install the QR Code Reader app and  scan the QR code to recharge their phone. There is no need to enter the 16 digit PIN.

The QR Code Reader app can be installed on any Android phone.

The Smart Pack is currently available on a Recharge Coupon of Rs. 25/- and will also offer customers an option to choose either 2G or 3G benefits on the same pack, Airtel said.
