ZTE revenues up 16.5% to $10.8 bn in 9 months

Telecom network vendor ZTE Corporation today said its revenue rose 16.5 percent to RMB 68.5 billion or $10.78 billion in the first nine months of 2015.

Net profit of ZTE grew by more than 42 percent to RMB 2.6 billion or $409 million in the first nine months, driven by increased sales of optical network products and 4G LTE solutions to telecom operators.

ZTE’s telecom networks business rose more than 22 percent in the first nine months as the Chinese mobile equipment maker increased sales of 4G LTE infrastructure systems, optical network products, wireline switch and access systems.

Revenue from telecommunications software systems, services and other products increased 45.8 percent – fuelled by higher sales of video and network terminal products.

ZTE did not reveal financial details about its smartphone and enterprise businesses.
