ZTE Corporation has reported 2.9 percent increase in its revenue to RMB 62.49 billion or $8.75 billion for the first half of 2024.
ZTE has posted net profit of RMB 5.73 billion (up 4.8 percent) in H1 2024.
ZTE says its revenue from operator network business was RMB 37.30 billion or $5.22 billion.
ZTE’s revenue from consumer business grew 14.3 percent to RMB 16.02 billion or $2.24 billion.
ZTE’s revenue from government-enterprise business rose 56.1 percent to RMB 9.17 billion or $1.28 billion.
ZTE’s operator network business was under pressure in China. Internationally, ZTE’s operator network business achieved double-digit growth thanks to breakthroughs with large telecom operators in major countries.
ZTE has generated revenue of RMB 43.06 billion or $6.03 billion from China, representing 68.9 percent of the total revenue.
ZTE has generated RMB 19.43 billion or $2.72 billion in international revenue, accounting for 31.1 percent of its total revenue.
ZTE has generated 59.7 percent of its sales from the operator network, 14.7 percent from government-enterprise, and 25.6 percent from consumer business.
ZTE’s R&D expenses totaled RMB 12.73 billion, accounting for 20.4 percent of operating revenue. The company has filed over 90,000 global patent applications and holds a total of 46,000 granted patents worldwide.
In the AI field alone, ZTE has approximately 5,000 patent applications, with more than 2,000 patents granted.
ZTE’s shipments of 5G base stations and 5G core networks rank second globally. ZTE’s RAN and 5G core network products consistently receive industry leader ratings from multiple institutions, while its optical network products achieved the highest quarter-on-quarter growth rate in global market share.
More than 50 mobile operators have tested and piloted ZTE’s 50G PON solutions. ZTE has achieved the first large-scale commercial deployment of a 400G all-optical inter-provincial backbone network in partnership with operators.
