India is the second biggest market for Versa Networks. The company did not reveal the size of its business and client details.

Versa Networks’ Secure SD-WAN technology simplifies the IT infrastructure control and management by delivering a virtual WAN architecture that securely connects users to their applications.

Jabil is focused on the manufacturing of the branch devices – specifically universal branch CPE (customer premise equipment) appliances – that hosts Secure SD-WAN software and support third-party VNFs as part of Versa’s solution.

Jabil will be directly selling Versa branded devices to distributors for partners and customers to purchase, Sunil Naik, Operations Director at Jabil Pune, said.

“With India as the second biggest market for Versa, coupled with the Government’s initiative, deploying a manufacturer in the region this year has been an important move,” said Abhishek Jain, Regional Sales Director, India & SAARC at Versa Networks.

Versa Networks started the local production in August. Versa Networks started producing three product families so far. Jabil’s manufacturing plants in Pune, India are currently providing more than 80 jobs for locals. Every academic year Jabil hires apprentices and graduate trainees from various institutions, providing various skills enhancement training programs.
