TDC Net selects Infosys for technology transformation

TDC Net, a digital infrastructure and connectivity provider in Denmark, has selected Infosys to transform to a leading customer-centric technology company.

TDC Net, which is planning annual Capex of DKK 3 billion – DKK 3.5 billion in 2024, aims to modernize IT infrastructure, improve customer experience, and optimize IT and operational service costs.

Infosys will standardize and simplify TDC Net’s IT systems by implementing AI-driven automation while adhering to industry standard processes. This will help enhance business productivity by consolidating TDC Net’s IT systems into fewer platforms.

Campbell Fraser, CTIO, TDC Net said: “Our collaboration with Infosys will enable us to leverage industry-standard processes and platform to create better customer experiences. Infosys’ deep expertise in the telecommunications domain, coupled with their proven capabilities in driving end-to-end transformations, gives us confidence in achieving our goals.”

TDC Net earlier said its capital expenditure for 2023 amounted to DKK 3.037 billion. TDC Net aims at ensuring Denmark’s best mobile network and rolling out fibre as well as connecting more homes to high-speed platforms. TDC Net made investments in moving a critical services from power-intensive legacy technologies to a more advanced and resilient technology platform.

TDC Net says its fiber covers 702000 homes. It has the lrgest broadband footprint in Denmark, covering 95 percent of residential addresses. TDC Net’s 4G and 5G network has 99 percent national coverage. It does not reveal its 5G network coverage. TDC Net also made investments in customer solutions.

TDC Net – in its annual report for 2023 — also said its energy intensity declined by 15 percent compared with 2022, while its network carried 7.2 percent more data. This was driven by focus on activating customers to use the most energy-efficient digital infrastructure: 5G and fibre networks. TDC Net’s carbon emission intensity declined by 62 percent.
