TAIPA appoints TR Dua as next director general

Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association (TAIPA) has appointed TR Dua as the next director general.

Dua, who will replace Umang Das, was till now the executive director of TAIPA.

Umang Das has been elevated to the position of vice chairman.

Akhil Gupta, chairman of TAIPA, said: “Dua’s appointment comes at a crucial time for the association with the Indian telecom industry trying to capitalize upon the opportunities created in the light of the recently concluded spectrum auctions.”

Dua held senior positions as a director in telecom companies like Bharti Airtel, Shyam Telecom and Cellular Operators Association of India.

ATC Tower Co, Bharti Infratel, GTL Infrastructure, Indus Towers, Reliance Infratel,  Tower Vision India and Viom Networks are the members of TAIPA.
