T-HT picks Mariner for IPTV service monitoring

Telecom Lead Europe: T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), a
provider of telecommunications services in Croatia, has selected several
applications from the Mariner xVu IPTV service monitoring suite for
troubleshooting and assurance of its IPTV solution.

As the IPTV market matures, the need for professional
tools to monitor and manage all aspects of the service environment is becoming
more apparent. T-HT is addressing this need, and the inclusion of Mariner xVu
improves visibility of service performance in a key location – at the very edge
of the network, in consumer homes,” said Bogojevic Damir, network and service
platforms operations department director at T-HT.

T-HT is a member of the Deutsche Telekom group, and has
over 300,000 subscribers for its IPTV service.

We are delighted to have secured T-HT as a blue-chip
customer in Europe. This win will spearhead our drive into the territory,
building on our well-established track record of success in North America and
cementing our position in the EMEA market,” said Curtis Howe, president and CEO
of Mariner.

The xVu NetworkVu application will be used for faster
localization of network issues and enhanced change management, while the
SupportVu application will deliver real time performance insight for customer
support and field repair stakeholders.

Furthermore, the ReportVu application will be used for
periodic reporting to calibrate commercial and technical performance of the
solution.

Last year, Mariner announced that TELUS selected Mariner xVu IPTV service monitoring solution to
assist with customer assurance of its IPTV-based Optik TV.
