Singapore’s second-largest mobile operator, in a technical trial conducted at its headquarters, achieved the 600Mbps data transmission speeds through combined 4×4 MIMO technology, along with Carrier Aggregation, to reach LTE-Advanced data speeds.

StarHub, which competes with SingTel, and Nokia Networks have also tested 3-band carrier aggregation using a commercial mobile device. These two trials — 4×4 MIMO and multiband carrier aggregation – are expected to pave the way towards faster mobile broadband in future.
