Sandvine launches Peak Period Analysis Dashboard for telecom operators

Telecom Lead America: Sandvine, a provider of broadband
network solutions for fixed and mobile operators, has launched its Peak Period
Analysis Dashboard.

Sandvine’s Peak Period Analysis Dashboard is designed to
provide statistics and predictions using actual network data captured within
the periods of peak bandwidth usage to enable more accurate capacity planning.

The launch is significant as bandwidth usage statistics
are a key ingredient for accurate capacity planning.

Tom Donnelly, COO, Sales and Global Services, Sandvine,
claims that Sandvine’s Peak Period Analysis Dashboard is the industry’s first
true capacity planning tool that goes beyond traditional measurements of prime
time bytes and projects the applications, service tiers and geographic
locations impacting peak bandwidth usage today.

Sandvine’s Peak Period Analysis Dashboard is one of the
dashboards included in Sandvine’s Network Analytics. Sandvine’s interactive
dashboards provide aggregate, network-wide key performance indicators that can
be granularly measured and categorized by location, device and subscriber tier,
and allow trending across peaks by time and actual peak usage.

Jeff Cotrupe, global program director, ACEM and OSSCS,
Stratecast | Frost & Sullivan, said that communications service providers
have massive amounts of network and usage information at their fingertips.
CSP-focused business intelligence solutions like Sandvine’s offer engineers and
executives access to data in a unified visual form, so they can develop
innovative solutions to everyday problems.
