Powered by Google’s Gemini models, this advancement enables communication service providers (CSPs) to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and business productivity through intelligent process automation and proactive decision-making.

Optiva’s agentic AI has the ability to act autonomously, complete complex tasks, and adapt dynamically. Optiva’s AI-powered BSS is already being deployed in digital transformations across the Middle East and the Americas, helping CSPs reduce operational costs, accelerate time to market, and improve customer interactions.

By leveraging Google’s Gemini AI models, Optiva’s AI agents enhance natural language understanding, real-time insights, and personalized customer engagement, allowing operators to optimize billing transparency and create new revenue streams.

Industry experts anticipate rapid growth in the adoption of agentic AI. Gartner projects that by 2028, 33 percent of enterprise software applications will incorporate the technology, up from just 1 percent in 2024. McKinsey highlights customer operations and sales as key areas where generative AI can drive significant revenue, with AI agents shaping the next phase of telecom innovation.

Optiva’s AI-powered virtual agents bring multiple benefits to CSPs. The customer care AI agent, Amica, automates inquiries and support cases, enhancing satisfaction and resolution speed. The operations management AI agent, Kairos, streamlines issue resolution and optimizes resource allocation, while the sales AI agent, Sophos, delivers hyper-personalized offers to boost engagement and loyalty.

Chrisaman Sood, AI Product Strategist at Optiva, emphasized that this integration represents a crucial shift for the telecom industry, moving beyond automation to establish an interconnected AI-driven ecosystem. He highlighted the potential for AI agents to work seamlessly together, driving exponential value for CSPs in a competitive market.

Optiva will showcase its agentic AI-powered BSS at MWC Barcelona from March 3-6, 2025, in Hall 2, 2D20, where industry professionals can schedule demos and meetings to explore the technology’s impact on telecom operations.
