HFR Mobile Deploys Korea’s First Private 5G Public Safety Network

HFR Mobile has deployed Korea’s first private 5G public safety network for Gimcheon City as part of the “Self-Communication Network Infrastructure Project.” Supported by the National Information Society Agency (NIA), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and Gimcheon City, the project improves public safety through a 5G core and base stations at the Gimcheon Integrated Control Centre. The network includes an AI-powered CCTV system in Ansan Park, which improves safety and reduces accidents and crime. The 5G network enables real-time monitoring of public spaces and positions HFR Mobile as a player in smart city infrastructure in Korea.

Glo Fibre Expands with New Retail Location in Suffolk, Virginia

Glo Fibre, powered by Shenandoah Telecommunications, has opened a new retail store in Suffolk, Virginia, offering fibre internet services. Located in the Kensington Square shopping plaza, the store will host a grand opening event on February 13th. Glo Fibre provides service to over 17,000 homes and businesses in Suffolk and plans to expand to 8,000 more locations by the end of the year. The fibre-to-the-home technology offers speeds of up to 5 Gbps, ensuring reliable internet.
