Nokia to showcase AI-powered innovations at India Mobile Congress

Nokia has announced its participation in the India Mobile Congress 2024, where it will present its AI-powered innovations and sustainable technologies.

Nokia, as the official Sustainability Partner of the event, will highlight its commitment to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, showcasing its leadership in driving industry-wide sustainable transformations.

Key executives, including Tarun Chhabra (Country Manager, Mobile Networks), Prashant Malkani (Head of Network Infrastructure), Subho Mukherjee (VP, Global Sustainability),
and Arvind Khurana (Head of Cloud and Network Services) will deliver keynotes and participate in discussions on the future of telecom technology and sustainability.

AI-powered 6G – Nokia will demonstrate AI/ML-based solutions for improving network performance, including a 30 percent enhancement in downlink throughput for cell-edge users.

Atmospheric Ducts in Radio Networks – A solution to mitigate interference in 5G networks due to atmospheric conditions, improving cell throughput.

Energy Efficiency Solutions – Highlighting how Nokia’s hardware, software, and services reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions in radio access networks.

Next Gen RAN Solutions – Introducing the latest AirScale radio, baseband, and microwave transport technologies tailored for the Indian market.

Cloud and Network Services:

Nokia will showcase AI-powered, programmable networks that help telecom operators (CSPs) monetize network slicing and improve cybersecurity using GenAI. Demonstrations of AI/ML tools like Nokia AVA will show how mobile operators can meet sustainability goals by reducing carbon emissions.

Network Infrastructure:

Under its strategic themes, Nokia will focus on enhancing networks with Fixed Wireless Access, Wi-Fi 6 solutions, and Quantum-Safe Network technologies, as well as optimizing operations to reduce costs and power usage.
