Enterprise networking company NEC and telecom equipment maker Samsung Electronics will join hands to strengthen 5G business.
The partnership, merging NEC’s leadership in IT solutions and Samsung’s leadership in 5G, provides mobile carriers with flexible 5G solutions that are localized for each region with customized services to meet mobile carriers’ demands efficiently.
Atsuo Kawamura, president of the Network Services Business Unit at NEC Corporation, said the partnership with Samsung will solidify its stance as a 5G leader.
Youngky Kim, president of Networks Business at Samsung Electronics, said joint efforts with NEC will boost 5G end-to-end solution portfolio.
Samsung has commercialized 5G services across the US. Samsung has won a 5G equipment deal from SK Telecom, a major Korean operator.
