delivering wireless and video surveillance solutions, announced that Mercury
Wireless has deployed licensed Point-to-Point (PtP) wireless backhaul to
increase the capacity of its network in Topeka, KS.
Moonblink and Mercury Wireless
selected Proxim Wireless’ Tsunami GX-800 licensed wireless backhaul solution to
cost-effectively increase the capacity of Mercury’s network. Proxim’s Tsunami
GX800 is a licensed microwave PtP link that provides up to 622Mbps aggregate
throughput with ultra low latency, offering high capacity and reliability for
carriers, service providers and enterprise markets.
In order to cost-effectively
increase the capacity of our network to support this greater demand, we
approached Moonblink, who helped us review our options. We ultimately selected
Proxim’s Tsunami GX-800 because it provided the best megabit-per-dollar value
on the market,” said Garrett Wiseman, president of Mercury Wireless.
Mercury Wireless has been working
with Moonblink for years, and reviewed many PtP wireless backhaul options, but
ultimately selected Proxim’s Tsunami GX-800 for its price and performance
benefits.
The Proxim Tsunami GX-800 is
delivering over 600Mbps at over 12 miles for Mercury Wireless’ network in
Topeka.
Proxim Wireless had recently announced that Metropolitano de Tenerife (MTSA)
has deployed Proxim’s Tsunami MP.11 products to create a mobile wireless video
surveillance network for its Tenerife Tram System on Tenerife, the largest of
the Canary Islands.
