Five operators in MEA, APAC and South America select MACH data solution

Telecom Lead India: MACH, a provider of cloud-based
managed communication services, announced that five network operators, from
Middle East/Africa, Asia Pacific and South America have selected its data
roaming engine solution in the last quarter.

MACH’s data roaming engine allows mobile network
operators to offer all subscribers a bespoke set of data roaming packages, and
giving control of costs and flexibility of service choices back to the
subscriber.

The unique managed service solution helps mobile network
operators unlock the tremendous potential of data roaming, which has failed for
too long to generate the kind of revenues it undoubtedly should. By simply
giving subscribers greater insight into roaming costs and being able to target
them with more tailored packages, MACH’s customers are at the forefront of a
new approach to mobile data monetization,” said Lokdeep Singh, chief technology
officer, MACH.

MACH said 58 percent of smartphone/tablet roamers do not
use 3G at all when abroad. It says mobile data usage has seen exponential
growth in recent years, but the potential of data roaming revenue still remains
untapped, with consumers choosing to find alternative ways to access data
services while abroad.

The Data Roaming Engine allows mobile network operators to
tailor data packages to fit their subscribers’ needs. Additional capabilities
allow users to define the services they use abroad: for the holidaying consumer
there could be Facebook-only access, while the small business user could opt
for Email-only access.

Furthermore, the solution allows services to be rated
differently according to the end user group the operator is targeting, which
enables operators to offer services highly tailored to the needs of their
subscribers, driving uptake while reducing the final cost to the end user and
empowering them to select the services they want to use abroad.

MACH to strengthen presence in Indian telecom market by hiring
100 people

Recently, MACH India announced that it is planning to
expand its presence in Indian mobile market by hiring 100 people in 2012.
