Telecom network vendor Ericsson announced its IT transformation deal with Far EasTone in Taiwan to improve customer ordering experience and reduce manual order handling for exceptions.

As per the deal, Ericsson will serve as the prime integrator for the lead-to-service domain of the mobile operator’s IT transformation. Ericsson’s solution covers systems and professional services from scope discovery, business requirement identification, system design and implementation through to production launch.

Ericsson will deploy its Order Care and Ericsson Catalog Manager to assist Far EasTone to categorize its products and technical service components to simplify bundle creation, product rule definition and product portfolio management.

“Ericsson Order Care Suite best meets FET’s IT demands. It satisfies our need to simplify product offerings with an embedded rule engine. Far EasTone can enjoy flexibility and faster time-to-market from catalog-driven order management for convergence across mobility, content, fixed-line and ISP business,” said Magdalina Lin, executive vice president of Information Technology Division, Far EasTone.

Ericsson is already supplying 4G radio and core networks to Far EasTone.
