Ericsson India today said its second quarter revenue increased 29 percent to $234 million (SEK 1.6 billion).
Out of SEK 1.6 billion, SEK 0.9 billion came from telecom networks and SEK 0.7 billion from global services, said Ericsson.
The telecom network vendor said sales grew as mobile operators have increased mobile broadband infrastructure spending in response to rising data volumes. Increased sales related to OSS and BSS also contributed to growth.
“The investment climate in India is improving following the concluded spectrum auctions and government elections held in May,” said Hans Vestberg, president and CEO of Ericsson.
