DZS powers Beanfield to offer Gigabit Internet across Canadian cities

DZS, a leader in Networking, Connectivity, and Cloud Automation solutions, announced that Beanfield, operator of the largest independent fiber network in Toronto and Montreal, has deployed DZS Velocity fiber access platforms and Helix optical network terminals (ONTs) to deliver some of the fastest internet speeds in Canada.

Beanfield provides multi-gigabit internet services up to 8 Gbps for residential and business subscribers in major cities, including Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Ottawa.

Beanfield’s SVP of Residential Services, Michael Massie, noted that the partnership with DZS, which spans nearly a decade, continues to push the boundaries of connectivity by delivering superior multi-gigabit experiences to subscribers.

Scott St. John, Chief Customer Officer of DZS, praised Beanfield for its commitment to advancing technology, noting that DZS Velocity and Helix platforms provide both immediate multi-gigabit speed upgrades and a future-proof foundation, ensuring the ability to scale as demand for high-speed services continues to grow.

The DZS Velocity portfolio offers 800 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity per slot, supports future upgrades to 50G and 100G PON technologies, and is designed to work with other third-party equipment.
