FirstComm Rolls Out FusionOne: 5G SD-WAN Built to Keep Businesses Always Connected

FirstComm launched FusionOne, a 5G SD-WAN solution that combines broadband with a built-in 5G failover link to prevent downtime. The service uses Peplink’s SpeedFusion Technology to maintain connectivity by bonding multiple internet connections. FusionOne is offered at $140 per month and includes pre-configured hardware, unlimited 5G backup, cloud monitoring, and 24/7/365 local support. The package also covers installation support through scheduled calls. The solution is designed for businesses that need continuous service, including sectors such as banking, education, and healthcare. By integrating primary and backup connections, FusionOne reduces risks of internet outages and dropped calls. FirstComm serves more than 7,000 customers nationwide with managed data, voice, security, and cloud communications.

Telecom Industry Targets Fraud with New iconectiv Solutions at LATAM Summit

iconectiv will participate in Telco Transformation LATAM on August 27–28, 2025 in Rio de Janeiro to present solutions to stop communications fraud. In a session titled “Fighting Communications Fraud. Winning Global Trust”, Alberto Apablaza, iconectiv LATAM account director, will outline the telecom fraud landscape in Latin America and share strategies for network security. iconectiv will showcase three solutions: TruNumber Protect, which provides real-time phone number intelligence to detect and block suspicious calls and texts while enforcing Do Not Originate (DNO) directives; TruNumber Routing, which ensures accurate portability data from over 100 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico, enabling efficient call completion and correct rating; and TruNumber Portability Clearinghouse, which streamlines the number porting process and reduces errors, delays, and costs for providers and subscribers.

Quectel Expands Antenna Portfolio to Power IoT and Industrial Connectivity

Quectel Wireless Solutions has introduced two ISM antennas, YENT001W1AM and YENT002W1AM, expanding its antenna portfolio for IoT and industrial applications. The YENT001W1AM is a monopole antenna with an SMA male connector supporting the 410–470 MHz frequency range, while the YENT002W1AM is a dipole antenna with a hinged RP-SMA male connector covering 850–950 MHz. Both antennas measure 135 mm and are designed for compatibility with Quectel ISM modules. They are intended for ISM device applications such as safety alerts, wireless data transmission, automated manufacturing, and IoT connectivity. Quectel provides antenna design services including simulation, testing, and manufacturing, supported by regional R&D centers and antenna experts.
