Deutsche Telekom firm T-HT deploys Mavenir Systems’ IMS HSS-FE

Mavenir Systems today said it deployed its IMS HSS-FE (Home Subscriber Server-Front End) system at Croatian telecom operator T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.

The HSS, a software solution based on Mavenir’s mOne Convergence Platform, enables T-HT to consolidate subscriber data on a single platform that can provide IMS service delivery and enables next generation services, said Mavenir.

In addition, Mavenir IMS solution enables the Croatian telecoms for flexible deployment of next generation services like Voice over LTE (VoLTE) and Rich Communication Services (RCS). It is designed to interwork with Universal Data Repository (UDR) solutions.

Nenad Silbar, head of core network planning at T-HT, said that company’s investment will support its subscribers’ demands such as roaming as well as the introduction of new services for mobile customers. In addition, Mavenir’s HSS-FE enables T-HT to meet its goal of driving innovation while reducing its Capex and Opex at the same time.

Mavenir said the Home Subscriber Servers (HSS) are deployed in LTE/EPC and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) networks for subscriber-specific authorizations, service profiles, and preferences as well as Mobile Authentication and other HLR-like functionalities.

T-HT Group offers fixed and mobile telephony services as well as wholesale, Internet, IPTV, data and ICT services in Croatia.
