CommScope and Cheytec sign DAS partnership

CommScope and Cheytec Telecommunications have announced a partnership to provide radio frequency signal sources for distributed antenna system (DAS) and C-RAN antenna system deployments.
Cheytec and Commscope“CommScope’s C-RAN and DAS, combined with Cheytec’s operator relationships and pre-arranged service provider signal sources, enable a faster and smoother turn-up for our customers and a simpler path for future upgrades.” said Mike Shumate, CommScope’s vice president of business operations.

The portion of DAS installations funded by enterprises and building owners will nearly double over the next five years, according to Mobile Experts.

CommScope is the market share leader in in-building wireless systems. It aims to accelerate DAS deployments by eliminating the dependency on the service provider in association with with Cheytec.
