Cisco Chief Development Officer Pankaj Patel to resign

Cisco
Cisco Chief Development Officer Pankaj Patel has decided to resign from the US-based networking vendor.

He will be leaving Cisco in the second half of this calendar year, Hindu BusinessLine reported.

Last year, Cisco Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Padmasree Warrior resigned.

Both Pankaj Patel and Padmasree Warrior left the technology major after the elevation of Chuck Robbins as the successor to the outgoing CEO John Chambers.

Gary Moore, Cisco President and COO and Rob Lloyd, Cisco President Development and Sales, have also announced their decision to quit.

Other top management team members who left Cisco include Edzard Overbeek, senior VP of Cisco Services, Wim Elfrink, Chief Globalisation Officer, Edison Peres, SVP of Cloud and Managed Services and Bruce Klein, SVP, Worldwide Partner Organization.

Cisco selected Pankaj Patel, a Cisco veteran of 19 years, to join his new 10-member top executive team last June, before Chuck Robbins becomes the CEO on July 26, 2016.

Patel joined Cisco through its acquisition of StrataCom in 1996. He was previously SVP and GM for Cisco’s Service Provider business.
