Cambium Networks hires Atul Bhatnagar as new CEO

Telecom Lead America: Ixia Communications veteran Atul Bhatnagar is the new CEO and president of Cambium Networks, a provider of IP wireless broadband access and transport solutions.

At Ixia, Atul spent more than four years as president and CEO and doubled revenues to $350 million and increased the market value of Ixia from $400 million to more than $1 billion.

Atul also worked for Divitas Networks, Nortel, HP and Tektronix in a range of positions.

Bhatnagar succeeds Phil Bolt, who facilitated the spin-out of Cambium Networks from Motorola Solutions.

The company currently has more than four million products deployed in thousands of networks in over 150 countries.

Meanwhile, Cambium Networks has introduced GIGATOWER, a new wireless broadband access solution promising highest level of throughput for enterprises and triple-play service providers.

Based on the Canopy point-to-multipoint (PMP) 450 platform, the GIGATOWER enables service providers to expand capacity to existing customers and offer high capacity broadband to new customers in urban, suburban and rural environments.
