BSNL selects Aptilo Networks to enable wireless services

BSNL
Indian telecom service provider BSNL has selected Aptilo Networks to enable wireless services.

The state-run telecom operator serves more than eight million broadband customers and 90 million mobile phone users. BSNL has a strong presence in the Indian rural markets, where private operators are not willing to make investments in a big way.

BSNL has selected Aptilo Service Management Platform (SMP), a scalable platform supporting BSNL’s rapid growth, to deliver and manage carrier-class wireless services.

“Wireless services generate revenue and are key to connect the unconnected in India,” said Jonas Jacobsson, COO of Aptilo Networks.
