Brazilian MSO SimTV selects Conax for digitization of cable TV operations

 

Conax announced it has entered a contract with Brazilian
cable TV operator, SimTV.

 

Conax will deliver a high-end content protection solution
for SimTV’s cable TV service and guidance for the digitization of the
operator’s 16 remote sites throughout the country.

 

Owned by BandTV, SimTV’s Canal 17 already serves about 50
municipalities and covers a population of 1,101,175 million households
providing a market ripe with key growth opportunities.

 

In the new offering, Conax
security-evaluated client devices from Jiuzhou will be deployed on the SimTV
platform.
