BLiNQ to use Tail-f’s ConfD software to build management system for wireless backhaul solutions

By
Telecom Lead Team:
Tail-f Systems and BLiNQ Networks
jointly announced that BLiNQ will use Tail-f’s ConfD software to build the
management system for its next generation of wireless backhaul solutions.

“Tail-f
Systems’ network management software is the best in the market and allows us to
provide wireless operators standard management interfaces that easily integrate
with their existing systems. This is a key aspect in BLiNQ’s strategy to enable
scalable and cost-effective small cell deployments to address wireless network
capacity demand,” said Carleton Miller, CEO of BLiNQ Networks.

Tail-f
Systems’ ConfD software will enable BLiNQ to build their network management
application in less time and with support for carrier-grade implementations of
NETCONF, Web, and SNMP interfaces.

By
using Tail-f’s ConfD software, BLiNQ will provide wireless operators a
scalable, industry standard management interface to configure and monitor
BLiNQ’s backhaul modules as part of a larger mobile network.

Additionally,
with ConfD software, BliNQ will get benefits such as powerful transaction
management, true model-driven development, and an embedded high performance
database.

“BLiNQ
Networks is an innovative provider of next generation wireless backhaul
solutions and we are very pleased that they have chosen to use ConfD to build
their network management system. ConfD is an ideal solution for building
management applications that meet the scalability and high-availability
requirements of mobile network operators,” said Fredrik Lundberg, CEO, Tail-f Systems.

BLiNQ
Networks was founded in June 2010 after the acquisition of intellectual
property and wireless assets from Nortel Networks. Its Backhaul
Self-Organizing-Network (B-SON) systems are designed to continuously monitor
and adapt to a changing radio frequency environment to maximize backhaul
network performance through dynamic interference management and resource
allocation.
