Aviat Networks has won a turnkey project worth $2.4 million from the Department of Interior – National Park Service (NPS) agency for products and services.
The global provider of microwave networking solutions will offer Eclipse IRU 600 radios alongside its ProVision management system and services such as network and transmission engineering, factory integration and testing and civil construction.
The wireless networking provider offers radios that come with licensed NTIA fixed frequency bands with key certifications such as DOD J/F-12, DISA UC-APL and NIST FIPS 140-2 Level 2.
Hybrid capability of IRU 600 radios allows seamless migration from TDM to IP while maintaining existing service standards throughout the transition.
Also other factors that upped the chances of Aviat include the range of NTIA approved all-indoor products, high product reliability, turnkey capabilities, US corporate identity and history of providing service and support to this market.
Aviat Networks expects revenue from this project to add to fiscal Q4 2016 and fiscal Q1 2017 results.
The company recently booked a $5.7 million deal in services business with two large pan-African mobile operators servicing Nigeria and also closed a $2.9 million deal with a leading electric and gas utility in the Northeast USA.
The group has also entered into a similar 3-year turnkey agreement with MTN South Africa, which is a part of the MTN Group. The California based company reported total revenues of $60.4 million in its fiscal 2016 third quarter ended April 1, 2016, as compared to $74.8 million in 2015.
