The divestment is part of Alcatel-Lucent’s strategies under The Shift Plan, for generating at least EUR 1 billion through selective asset sales by the end of 2015.

The Shift Plan, launched in June 2013, is assisting Alcatel-Lucent to refocus itself as a specialist in IP, Cloud and Ultra-Broadband Access. Alcatel-Lucent is also looking at implementing cost savings of EUR 1 billion.
