Qualcomm Ventures invests in Deck App Technologies

Telecom Lead India: Deck App Technologies, Bangalore, will receive $100,000 in venture financing from Qualcomm to expand its business.

The company was selected based on its product innovation and the strength of its management team.

Deck App Technologies is the India finalist in international Qualcomm Ventures QPrize 2012 venture investment competition

Deck App Technologies will move forward in the competition and compete against other regional champions for an additional US$150,000 in venture financing in the QPrize Global Grand Prize competition, taking place in the first quarter of 2013 in San Francisco.

Deck App Technologies offer products to create compelling and memorable presentations on any device in the easiest way.

Uberlabs, second prize winner of the competition, provides Social CRM solutions for images and videos, will receive $25,000 from Microsoft.

Te other six companies that were shortlisted in the finals of QPrize India 2012 have been invited to Microsoft BizSpark Plus program.

Through QPrize, Qualcomm help identify breakthrough ideas at early stages and help them grow by providing promising entrepreneurs with mentorship, investment support and exposure to the global technology ecosystem.

India has a huge talent pool and it is important for ecosystem players to join forces to foster greater opportunities for successful entrepreneurship,” said Harish Vaidyanathan, director of Evangelism at Microsoft India.

Harness Handitouch: offers networked tablets powered by the cloud for in-class collaboration and captivation
