Acer Iconia W3 tablet on Microsoft Windows 8 priced at Rs 30,499

Acer India has priced its Iconia W3 in India tablet — running on Microsoft’s latest OS Windows 8 — at Rs 30,499 in India.

The 8.1-inch Acer Iconia W3 tablet has Intel Atom CloverTrail dual-core processor and 2GB RAM.

Harish Kohli, managing director, Acer India, said, “Acer has always been a frontrunner in setting up industry benchmark; today we are the first PC player to launch a full-featured 8.1-inch tablet, along with two other new products, the Acer Aspire P3 and Aspire R7.”

The new tablet offers seamless access to Microsoft Office 2013 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

Acer at a press meet in Delhi said it expects 80 percent of its products to be on touch technology by 2015.

Chakrapani Gollapali, country general manager – Consumer Channels Group, Microsoft India, said: “Windows 8 provides the best blend of work and play, making it incredibly simple for people to consume and create content from anywhere.”
