ZTE has launched waterproof STAR7 Softbank 009Z
smartphone in Japan. The STAR7 Softbank 009Z is an Android based smartphone
with a 3.8-inch touch screen.
The handset uses GSM and W-CDMA
communication systems and supports wireless LAN networking (IEEE
802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1. It contains a 1GHz Qualcomm processor
and has a battery capacity of 1500mAh. It also has a 5.03 million
pixel auto focus CMOS camera.
“ZTE’s terminal division in Japan has been on the
rise in 2011 we will continue to collaborate with Softbank and other top
operators here to launch a series of high-end smart terminals,”
Wang Qi, chief officer for the ZTE Japan Terminal Division.
The phone weighs 152g and also features an emergency
earthquake alarm. It also allows users to watch digital TV under the
one-segment broadcasting service.
The STAR7 Softbank 009Z handset also features
email, global roaming, 3G, GPS Flash and disaster preparedness
information.
The phone’s user interfaces and icons adopt the Softbank
“father” model and the standby screen can also be set as father
walking in the space wearing a spacesuit.
Recently,
ZTE in collaboration with Swedish carrier Hi3G, announced that the world’s
first commercial LTE FDD/TDD dual-mode network has gone live in Stockholm,
Gothenburg and Malmo.
This commercial dual-mode network will enhance the
network performance of Hi3G and provide better service experience to local
users.
