ZTE unveils AT&T Avail Android smartphone

ZTE announced the launch of the AT&T Avail, the
company’s first smartphone developed for AT&T.

The AT&T Avail is an Android-based smartphone that
provides multitasking capabilities, an intuitive, tactile interface and a
compact size to help on-the-go customers stay connected and organized. The
handset was designed with seven customizable home screens to provide quick and
easy access to the widgets used the most.

The AT&T Avail is the latest offering in the GoPhone
prepaid device portfolio. Customers have access to an Android based smartphone
with no long term contract and the flexibility of AT&T’s prepaid rate
plans.

ZTE recognizes the need to provide carriers like
AT&T with devices that appeal to customers in various stages of smartphone
adoption,” said Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA and president, North America Region,
ZTE.

The Avail is a great option for a customer who is
looking for an Android-based smartphone matched with the benefit of maintaining
control over usage through the GoPhone option,” Cheng added.
