Samsung Electronics, the leading smartphone supplier in the world, has selected the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform from Qualcomm for Galaxy S25.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, designed through a strategic collaboration between Qualcomm Technologies and Samsung, is specifically tailored to enhance the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, delivering exceptional performance and redefining user experiences.
Though Samsung Electronics has decided to source the premium mobile platform from Qualcomm for the entire Galaxy S25 series, the smartphone maker has kept the retail prices of its Galaxy S25 series unchanged at between $799 and $1,299.
Earlier, Samsung used both its own Exynos chip and Snapdragon from Qualcomm, indicating a major change of strategy.
At the heart of its tech innovation lies the custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU, the world’s fastest second-generation processor, complemented by the powerful Qualcomm Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU. Together, these components enable AI capabilities, transforming how users interact with their devices through enhanced intelligence, efficiency, and creativity.
With advanced connectivity powered by the Snapdragon X80 5G Modem-RF System and FastConnect 7800, the Galaxy S25 series ensures ultra-fast 5G and Wi-Fi 7 experiences, marking a new era of seamless communication.
The introduction of Snapdragon Satellite elevates connectivity by enabling satellite-based messaging, a first in the Android ecosystem, empowering users to stay connected even in remote areas.
This platform sets a benchmark in mobile imaging with customized enhancements to the Qualcomm Spectra ISP, supporting Spatio-Temporal Filter technology for superior low-light video capture at resolutions up to 8K 30fps. This ensures an unmatched visual experience, whether in photography or video recording, while maintaining impressive energy efficiency.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite also transforms how users interact with AI-powered applications like Gemini, which facilitates multitasking, livestreaming, and productivity through intelligent, seamless integrations. These advancements illustrate a shared vision between Qualcomm and Samsung to push the boundaries of mobile innovation, combining unparalleled processing power with bespoke optimizations for the Galaxy S25 series.
