Spice ties-up with Coolpad to launch latest smartphones

Spice (S Mobility) has tied-up with Coolpad, a global handsets player, to launch latest smartphones in India.

The first smartphone to be available from the tie up between S Mobility and Coolpad will be a new 5-inch Quad Core Jelly Bean smartphone with qHD resolution and IPS display.

The Spice Coolpad MI 515 will be a DTS enabled smartphone.

The new strategy is expected to assist S Mobility to increase its smartphone market share in India.

Dilip Modi, COO & co-founder of Spice Group, said: “We will be launching many more exciting products under the Spice Coolpad brand. We are confident that with our huge distribution network and own Spice Hotspot stores – the brand will achieve substantial market share in smartphone category with innovative products.”

The Spice Coolpad MI 515 has been priced at Rs 9,990.

Spice Coolpad MI 515 runs on 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor.

Running on the Android Jellybean OS, this device has a brilliant 5 MP Auto Focus rear camera.

Supported with a spacious 4GB ROM and a 1GB RAM, this smartphone can be expanded upto 32 GB through a micro SD card.

The new phone comes with 2000mAh Li-ion-Polymer battery.
