Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee died on Oct 25

Lee Kun-hee, chairman of Samsung Electronics, died at the age of 78 on Sunday.

Lee, the son of Samsung Group’s founder Lee Byung-chul, was born in Uiryeong county in South Gyeongsang province of South Korea on January 9, 1942.

Lee, who suffered a heart attack in 2014 and had since remained hospitalized, helped grow his father Lee Byung-chull’s noodle trading business into the biggest business house in South Korea.

Samsung has 287,439 employees. Samsung has 15 regional offices, 37 production sites, 38 R&D centers, 7 design centers and 52 sales offices.
