OPPO smartphone targets 200 services centers in India in one year

Smartphone vendor OPPO today said it is planning 200 service centers in the Indian mobile phone market in the next one year.

OPPO smartphones are currently available in 12 major cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Kolkata, Pune and Lucknow.

Recently OPPO launched its 3G-enabled budget smartphone OPPO Joy – priced at Rs 8,990 — in the India Market, targeting the young generation and first-time smartphone users.

Smartphone specifications of OPPO Joy include Android4.2 OS, dual-SIM, 4.0” WVGA HD screen, 3-megapixel rear plus 0.3-megapixel front camera, 1.3GHz dual-core, 4GB memory, microSD for up to 32GB storage and 1700mAh battery.

Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO India, said: “Industry reports predict that India is poised to emerge as the third largest smartphone market in the world by 2017 with a major proportion of the buyers being new users.”

OPPO currently has 5 phone models available in the Indian market with a target product portfolio of over 10 smartphones by the end of the year.
