OPPO appoints Mike Wang as CEO of India

OPPO Mobiles India CEO Mike Wang

Smartphone maker OPPO has appointed Mike Wang as the CEO of its India operations.

Mike, who has nearly two decades of experience in the mobile handset industry, joined OPPO in 2005 in its initial years and has held a range of leadership positions across South-East Asian markets.

Mike replaces Tom Lu who was CEO since the company’s entry into India. Mike will be responsible for building marketing; sales and service centers network for brand in India and achieve company’s vision to be a leader in the Indian market.

OPPO has sold around 400,000 devices in India and is targeting 1.5 million units in 2015. OPPO India has plans to expand service centers to 200 by end of 2015 from 120.
