Nokia Lumia 800 white smartphone launched in India

Telecom Lead India: Nokia today unveiled the white Nokia
Lumia 800 smartphone in India.

The Nokia Lumia 800, dubbed the first real Windows Phone,
was launched back in October.

The white Lumia 800 sports a white, smoothly crafted
polycarbonate unibody case and curved ClearBlack touch screen. The unibody
polycarbonate is dyed all the way through and milled like metal to give it the
high-tech feel.

The white body strikes the ultimate minimalist color
scheme to emphasize the purity of the phone’s design, allowing the live Windows
tiles and images on the display to come to life with no distractions.

Adopting the same shiny white that has already appeared
on the N9, this design stands out in a crowd like no other phone, according to
Nokia.

Nokia Lumia 800s boast premium smartphone features
including, fast Web browsing, apps, music, Nokia Drive (the free
turn-by-turn navigation system), and Nokia Maps.

The smartphone commands superb superb, clear reception
via its superior antenna, engineered to prevent losing calls, thanks to the
choice of a polycarbonate casing instead of metal.

The white Nokia Lumia 800 is due to be rolled out first
in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Finland,
Poland and Switzerland, with other countries to follow, said official blog from
the company.

Nokia unveils Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 in India

Nokia earlier launched other three variations — cyan,
magenta and black — in India, alone with Lumia 710.

Nokia is positioning the Lumia 800 as its Windows
Phone flagship and the Lumia 710 as the budget Windows Phone offering.
