Motorola Solutions extends PartnerEmpower Program to applications developers

Telecom Lead America:
Motorola Solutions said it has made its PartnerEmpower Program available to
companies that develop their own applications for mobile solutions and
converged communications products.

PartnerEmpower enables Motorola to assist its Application
Partners to streamline the application development process and bring stronger
solutions to market.

Motorola’s new Application Partner Community will recognize,
differentiate and reward Application Partners and Solution Partners that
develop, cultivate and drive Motorola hardware opportunities through their
software solutions.

The expansion of the program to include application
developers is a key step in Motorola’s strategy to encompass all of its varied
channels under a single channel partner program–and comes at a time when
customers are increasingly looking for end-to-end solutions that encompass
hardware, software and services.

Motorola Solutions will also introduce enhancements to the
Wireless Network Solutions (WNS) Specialization, one of three program
specializations for PartnerEmpower resellers in North America.

The partner program helps Application Partners build their
business and develop applications more effectively through benefits including
financial rewards for influencing sales opportunities, inclusion in an
application demo library, access to Motorola engineers for solution testing,
field marketing support, early access to new products, and more.

“Motorola Solutions is committed to improving and
evolving the PartnerEmpower Program to better meet the needs of our channel
partners and respond to changing dynamics in the marketplace. Launching the
Application Partner community, hosting the 2012 APPFORUM, and introducing the
RhoMobile Suite for application developers shows Motorola Solutions’ commitment
to application developers. Enhancing the program for our WNS resellers also
shows how we are driving deeper collaboration with the channel,” said Mark
Kroh, vice president of North America channels, Motorola Solutions.
