Motorola launches Razr 50 Ultra foldable smartphone with Gemini AI

Motorola India has unveiled the razr 50 ultra, marking its presence into the foldable smartphone segment. The razr 50 ultra is distinguished by its integration of Google’s Gemini AI assistant and its unique design, featuring the world’s largest external display on a flip phone.

The razr 50 ultra’s 4.0” external display provides an immersive viewing experience with a 165 Hz refresh rate and the highest resolution in its category. This intelligent external display offers direct access to Google’s Gemini, a personal AI assistant.

For three months, razr users will enjoy Gemini Advanced, accessing Google’s most advanced AI models, 2 TB of cloud storage, and Gemini integration in Google apps like Gmail and Docs, all included in the Google One AI Premium plan, valued at approximately Rs. 1950/month.

When unfolded, the device reveals a 6.9” pOLED display, touted as the largest and virtually creaseless internal display on a flip phone. Motorola razr 50 ultra also incorporates moto AI features that enhance user interaction, streamline content creation, and personalize the phone experience.

Equipped with Motorola’s most advanced camera system to date, the razr 50 ultra offers features like 30X AI Super Zoom, AI Action Shot, AI Adaptive Stabilization, and Intelligent Auto Focus Tracking. Additionally, the device boasts impressive durability with IPX8 underwater protection, Gorilla Glass Victus, and a tested lifespan of over 600,000 folds.

Motorola razr 50 ultra has 4000mAh battery that ensures 24 hours of battery performance. Motorola razr 50 ultra’s 45W TurboPower promises consumers to have power for a day in about 12 minutes of charging. It also comes with the freedom of 15W wireless charging and users can also share power with other devices using reverse charging.

In India, the razr 50 ultra, powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, comes bundled with moto buds+ (worth Rs 9,999), premium TWS headsets featuring sound by Bose.

The device, available in a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant, will be on sale starting July 20th at an effective price of Rs 89,999, inclusive of an early bird price of Rs 94,999 and a Rs 5,000 bank discount, available across Amazon, Reliance Digital, motorola.in, and leading retail outlets. Pre-reservations begin on July 10, 2024, on Amazon and retail stores.

Consumers can opt for no-cost EMI options starting at Rs 5,000 per month from leading banks and avail benefits worth Rs 15,000 from Reliance Jio.

For the first time, razr users can access Google’s Gemini directly from the external display. The Gemini app enhances creativity and productivity, offering assistance with projects, planning, and everyday tasks, seamlessly integrating with Google services like Maps, YouTube, Flights, Gmail, and Drive. Google Photos integration allows users to manage photos and videos without opening the phone, and the upcoming Ask Photos feature will enable searching photos with Gemini’s AI capabilities.
