LG targets emerging 3G telecom markets with L Fino and L Bello smartphones

Targeting emerging 3G markets like India and China, LG Electronics will introduce its L Series smartphones — L Fino and L Bello – shortly.

Being unveiled at the IFA 2014 in Berlin, LG’s L Fino and L Bello will be alternatives to higher-priced smartphones.

LG will be targeting teenagers and first-time smartphone owners in emerging 3G markets.

Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said: “Our newest L Series smartphones represent the best of LG in design, hardware and UX as well as our commitment to bringing best smartphone experience to 3G customers as many as possible.”

LG will start rolling out the L Fino and L Bello in key 3G markets in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and CIS to follow. The Korean device maker did not share specific details about countries, pricing and launch dates. Phones will be available from next month, said LG in a statement.

L Fino key specifications include 1.2GHz quad core processor, 4.5-inch WVGA IPS (800 x 480 / 207ppi) display, 1GB RAM / 4GB memory, Rear 8MP / Front VGA camera, 1,900mAh battery, Android  4.4.2  KitKat OS, 127.5 x 67.9 x 11.9mm size and HSPA+ 21Mbps (3G).

LG said L Fino will be available in White / Black / Gold / Red / Green and the availability varies by market.

Key specifications of L Bello include 1.3GHz quad core processor, 5.0-inch FWVGA IPS (854×480 / 196ppi) display, 1GB RAM / 8GB memory, Rear 8MP AF / Front 1MP camera, 2,540mAh battery, HSPA+ 21Mbps (3G), Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS and Size of 138.2 x 70.6 x 10.7mm.

L Bello 3G phone will be available in White / Black / Gold colors.
