LG sells 8.1 million LTE smartphones in Q2 2015

LG Mobile Communications Company today said it sold more than 8.1 million LTE smartphones worldwide in second quarter of 2015.

The Q2 revenue of LG Mobile Communications Company fell 1 percent to KRW 3.65 trillion or $3.33 billion.

LG’s global smartphone shipments dipped 3 percent to 14.1 million units.

The Korean consumer electronics major said North America revenues increased 36 percent due to better performance of mid-range smartphones and tablets.

LG will aggressively implement its dual strategy focusing on both premium devices as well as mid-range smartphones targeting emerging markets.
