Telecom operator Idea Cellular has joined hands with the e-commerce portal Flipkart to offer special deals to its customers who upgrade to 4G phones.

Users need to buy 4G smartphones through the Idea website. Better prices, special exchange offers and plans from Flipkart are waiting for Idea Cellular customers.
Idea Cellular’s customers buying new 4G smartphones, available through Flipkart, will also get 15 GB data at the cost of 1 GB. This offer can be availed three times till 31 March 2017.

In addition, Idea customers will also get 70 percent discount on the purchase of accessories such as 10,000 mAH power banks and more.
“The integration with Flipkart will enable Idea users to access a range of 4G smartphones with unmatched offers and data benefits up to 15GB for the price of 1GB,” said Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer of Idea Cellular.
Idea Cellular serves over 185 million customers across India.
Vodafone, one of the rivals of Idea Cellular, on Wednesday said its 4G services reached 17 states as compared with Bharti Airtel’s 22 states. Vodafone 4G will be available in 2,400 towns by March 2017.
Reliance Jio is looking for 100 million 4G subscribers to its free offer by March 2017.
