HTC India brings One (E8) at Rs 34,900 and Desire 616 at Rs 16,900

HTC India today announced the launch of two smartphones HTC One (E8), a variant of HTC One (M8) at Rs 34,900 and Desire 616 at Rs 16,900.

While HTC One (E8) that comes with polycarbonate body will be available from end of July, Desire 616 that features octa core processor will start selling this week, said HTC at a press conference in Delhi on Friday.

HTC does not feature in top 5 smartphone makers list in India. The Indian smartphone market is dominated by Samsung, Micromax, Karbonn, etc.

Main features of HTC One (E8) include 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 128GB additional memory with microSD, 5-inch Full-HD, borderless display, dual stereo BoomSound speakers, Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Sense 6 UI, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and 2600mAh battery.

HTC Desire 616 and the HTC One E8 launched in India

The One (E8) is available in four colors including Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, and Misty Grey, said HTC.

Main specifications of Desire 616 include 5-inch HD (720x1280p) display, 1.4GHz MediaTek octa core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 32GB additional storage option via microSD card slot, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense UI, BlinkFeed, 8MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash, 2MP front and 2000mAh battery.

HTC Desire 616 is available in dark fray and pearl white colours.
