HTC announces latest enterprise offerings from HTCpro

Telecom Lead Asia: HTC announced the latest enterprise
offerings from HTCpro, an integrated program that provides mobile solutions for
enterprises and their employees.

HTCpro is building enterprise-level security
enhancements, management and productivity features through HTC Sense, while
helping IT managers integrate devices into the workplace.

“The blurred line between the consumer device and
the traditional business device has made the enterprise more complex to
manage,” said David Jaeger, executive director of global enterprise and
services for HTC and head of HTCpro.

“With today’s growing mobile workforce, we’ve found
that businesses of all sizes are offering employees a choice of devices or a
willingness to support employees’ personal devices. HTCpro helps to ensure that
when they choose an HTC device, employees and employers can feel confident in
its productivity and compliance features right out of the box,” Jaeger
added.

Through the HTCpro program, HTC is enabling its entire
portfolio of HTC Sense devices to be used seamlessly for everything from
personal productivity to enterprise-level business needs via the new, simple
and intuitive HTC Sense 4 user experience.

The latest HTC devices include built-in document
management applications that allow for viewing and editing of popular document
formats, as well as enhancements to email and calendar functions, Wi-Fi
printing and Internet sharing.

HTCpro features deliver encryption of removable and
on-board data using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), as well as reliable
network connectivity via Cisco AnyConnect virtual private network (VPN)
functionality that protects data in transit. End users can manage protection
settings directly on the device, and IT managers can use a variety of popular,
centralized device management platforms.

HTCpro is working with a number of solution providers to
integrate and extend the functionality of HTC devices in the workplace. HTCpro
is collaborating with IBM to deliver seamless integration on HTC devices with
the IBM portfolio of social collaboration applications. This teaming aims to
deliver reliable and cost-effective enterprise solutions to mobile users across
the globe.

HTCpro has worked with mobile device management (MDM)
providers including Airwatch, Fiberlink, MobileIron, SOTI, Zenprise and 3LM to
enhance and deliver leading-class business mobility solutions and help
businesses tackle their compliance needs.

“At HTC, we strive to fuse ideas, creativity and
innovation with like-minded companies that can help deliver the most personal
experience along with the seamless productivity that our worldwide customers
want,” said Will Ro, director of Global Enterprise Operations and Strategy
for HTC.
