Foxconn, one of the leading suppliers to Apple, will set up an electronics manufacturing facility in India’s southern state of Telangana.
The investment for setting up the electronics manufacturing facility will create 100,000 jobs in the state, Telangana’s IT minister KT Rama Rao said. K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana, and Young Liu Chairman of Foxconn, had a meeting today to discuss investment plans.
Taiwan-based Foxconn already has operations in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu and it manufactures products for companies such as Apple and Amazon.com.
