BlackBerry hires SAP veteran Eric Johnson as president, Global Sales

Smartphone vendor BlackBerry has appointed Eric Johnson as president, Global Sales.

Eric will be reporting to BlackBerry CEO John Chen.

Eric Johnson most recently served as senior vice president and general manager for SAP’s Global Database and Technology.

Prior to that, Eric was SVP and GM of Platform and Analytics Sales for North America, also at SAP.

In the years preceding, Eric served in several capacities at Sybase, including SVP and GM for North America, SVP and GM Europe, Middle East and Africa, and SVP and GM for Financial Services, where he managed both direct and indirect sales including field sales, professional services and customer services.
