Telecom Lead Asia: ASUS is strengthening its presence in India.

The PC major has launched PadFone in India.

The PadFone is available for a price of Rs 64,999.

Alone, the PadFone is an Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone with a 4.3” screen.

When connected to the PadFone Station, it transforms into a 10.1” Android ICS tablet with up to 63 hours of talk time.

The Padfone and the Padfone Station, when docked on the bundled Padfone Station Dock, work as a Netbook with extended battery life upto 104 hours & access to multiple ports like Card Reader & USBs.

“Today’s introduction of PadFone will be an utmost expansion of our users’ world where they will enjoy, achieve and save categorically. The PadFone Station charges the PadFone for up to 63 hours of extended talk time.

ASUS has also launched ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG in India.

The ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG (with Mobile Dock) will be available in India at a price of Rs 43,999.

It comes in Stunning Iceberg White color with a concentric patterned finish and NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 Quad-core CPU Tablet with improved graphics performance.

“The ASUS Transformer Pad distinguishes itself from other products in this segment in terms of its versatility. Our new offerings are intelligently fusing technologies to meet the demands of our existing and prospective customers,” Huang added.

The Transformer Pad offers accessibility to purchase newspapers from Press Reader, magazines from Zinio and books from Amazon Kindle.

It operates on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich enabling users a full web experience for on-the-go web browsing, communicating and casual computing. The convenient ASUS Launcher also allows users to easily launch software, manage content and access online services and connect devices with a few simple taps.
